Fuel Systems (NMC) is responsible for fuel system development. Within the section, the group High Pressure Fuel Pumps and Rails (NMCH) has the overall responsibility for developing the high pressure pumps, rails and lines used on all Scania engines.
Our area of responsibility includes design, testing and Supplier development. The high-pressure components plays a vital role in the overall efficiency of the engine and we therefore have a broad collaboration within engine and controls development as well as with the leading suppliers within fuel system development.
We are currently in the process of developing the next generation high pressure pump, rails and lines with improved efficiency and product properties, and is now searching for our new Test Engineer.
Your Role
As a Test Engineer within NMCH you will play an important role in driving forward the next generation fuel systems. We are facing new exciting challenges since we now serve both our Scania internal customers as well as the different customers within TRATON group.
In this role your working tasks will vary, but on a day to day basis your tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
• Testing and calibration of your assigned components
• Specifying requirements and coordinating development tasks with our suppliers and responsible design engineer
• Planning and analysing results from component test in rig, engine test cell and truck applications.
• Determining trade-offs to ensure hardware is of the correct status to meet project goals and delivering on these goals
• Representing the group within cross-functional groups at engine development, including purchasing, production and service.
• Continuously improve our design guidelines
• Fuel system technical support within organisation
Your Profile
The job is varied and requires good interpersonal skills throughout the development chain.
We value creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking, and the group is characterised by a desire to always be better.
We believe that you have a Bachelors or Master's degree in engineering, and have experience in calibration of hardware and skilled MATLAB user.
You have a driven nature and have the ability to structure your own work as well as coordinate tasks with our suppliers. You are a team player with the ability to interact well with suppliers and other functions within the company.
For this role, it is necessary that you are able to communicate and express yourself both verbally and in writing, in both English and Swedish.
It is of merit if you have at least 5-8 years of experience within R&D and holds a C-driving license.
