The group, Powertrain testing, is a part of the Section Vehicle and Systems Testing and consists of 13 engineers responsible for testing in dynamic engine test beds where we simulate a complete vehicle. We are currently in the process starting up a brand new powertrain test bed where we plan to perform emission tuning on complete powertrain
We are now looking for a Test Engineer for the new powertrain test bed (EPT1). As a Test Engineer you will be performing tests from early prototype stages to the final homologation of production engines. You will handle several types of test equipment and measuring devices and work closely with test engineers, mechanics, designers, maintenance staff and colleagues within the group. The daily tasks are very varied due to the fact that we are performing tests from early prototype stages to the final homologation of production engines. Main responsibilities
• To support the daily running of the test bed
• To be responsible for test object to rig interfacing
• To plan and prepare new tests e.g. new drive cycles and new simulation models in test bed computer system
• Execute and analyse tests together with internal customers
• To be responsible for delivery of sound test data
• To document methods developed during testing
• Continuous learning of new technology
Required qualifications
• M.Sc. in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or equal experience
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Prior experience in engine calibration very meritorious
• Prior experience from testing or similar work is meritorious
Personal qualities
• Team player with strong communications skills
• A genuine interest of technology
• Able to work independently and take required actions on own initiative
• A fast learner with an analytical mind
