The Communication Studio is SKF Group's in-house agency for production of external and internal communication material. We are now looking for a highly skilled Technical writer/Technical Communicator. Join our team and get insights about the newest digital/technical solutions for industry and explain to our customers how to use it. Work close together with SKF's development engineers and experts to get the right knowledge about our technical solutions. Create inspirational and easily accessible manuals, instructions and training material for users and customers.

Your work assignments
The Technical writer is producing text for user manuals, instructions and training material primarily and at start, relation to SKF's initiative on "Internet of Things", but other departments can come into scope. The Technical communicator is driving and creating technical material to match the business needs and/or customer requirements. As a Technical Writer you collaborate beyond organizational boundaries and your target is to communicate innovation.
Job responsibilities:

Work together with high skilled engineers and product developers to understand SKF developed next generation Condition Monitoring systems
Embrace the technical information and create content for manuals
Work together with graphical designers to explain to users and customers in text, figures, diagrams, images and illustrations how to use the products and solutions
Present the explanations in user manuals, online training courses, and other relevant channels

Teknisk skribent Technical Writer Technical communicator

Your background
University degree in technical communication, or matching work-life experience
You have at least had the first couple of jobs in writing technical material
Travel is required to support project activities (estimation is 20-30 days a year)
Excellent skills in both written and oral English. Working skills in Swedish is a plus
Willing to work according to agile methodology (Scrum)
Experience from working in an international, larger company is an advantage

Ability to be self-motivated and structured, interested in getting details right
Be able to find information on your own, and find ways to get information when there is a deficiency
Ability to take ownership of deliveries
Strive to find improvement possibilities. Have a positive mind-set about work and life.
Appreciate to explain how things work and interested in new technology
Socially competent person, who can interact with engineers and understand what they do
Good in keeping deadlines
