What we offer
Electrical Distribution & Body Electronics, is responsible for the development of solutions for power distribution and wiring for all platforms in Volvo Cars product range. The engineering work is done in cross-functional engineering teams and together with international development suppliers.
Our department is responsible for wiring harness installation and development of new EDS components over time in all platforms
Scope
As Technical leader at EDS you will work with several different components and materials that will broaden your expertise. You will have a technical responsibility over time for an installation area of ??the vehicle, e.g. engine compartment or cabin and work closely with several different suppliers in many countries, which gives you useful connections for the future.
Your key tasks
Technical leader EDS wiring harness will lead development of subsystems and component solutions (time, technology, costs). You will have daily cooperation with suppliers and ensure definition of requirements and balancing of these for the affected subsystems and components.
You will establish time schedules and follow project deliveries from timing and quality perspectives.
You and your skills
Technical education at university in electrical or mechanical engineering or similar competence level achieved through working experience
Experience in engineering, testing or manufacturing engineering.
You must be able to communicate clearly in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
Working experience in processes, systems and tools used for technical documentation and project management.
On a personal level
You have an analytical and holistic mind-set, are a great communicator and motivated by identifying/enabling/creating new solutions and opportunities.
You have excellent cooperation skills and high integrity.
