Oil is the world's most important raw materials. It is used as lubricant in virtually all industrial processes. Oil is also a source to the ongoing pollution and climate change. There are many reasons why this valuable resource needs to be better used - in a circular way. SKF RecondOil, acquired by the SKF Group in 2019, is a clean tech company founded almost ten year ago with the aim to create a sustainable use of oil. Combining advanced separation technologies (chemical and mechanical) from different fields, to create a technology platform (DST) that allows a lubricating oil to be cleaned down to nano sized particles and regenerated with the additives still intact. The oil can be used again and again, creating a truly circular economy - cutting carbon footprint, creating new business models and having a positive impact on the environment.
Overall job description
As Team Leader Automation at SKF Recondoil, you will play a key role in developing and designing user friendly- and sustainable process skids for the global lubricant industry. You will play an important role in enabling RecondOil to develop scalable platforms for the projected global roll-out of patented and groundbreaking technologies together with a passionate team where everyone comes together.
The successful candidate for this position should have an extensive automation engineering background- combined with great management skills.
You will
• Own and drive automation design (mainly built on Siemens TIA solutions).
• Manage and implement the automation engineering of projects through all their phases (pre-study and design to commissioning, support and documentation)
• Have direct reports of Automation team, meaning leading and developing the team and team members.
• Work towards building a friendly, collaborative environment in line with the company culture and make sure our ways of working and agile development practices are clear, modern, and suited to bring out the best of the team.
• Interface with other engineering disciplines, construction supervisors, and vendors.
• Facilitate coordination meetings with the project team members to ensure the identification, design and integration of all control system strategies.
• Grow and guide a team of automation engineers through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, establishing processes, and general support.
You have
• A passion and drive to work in a start-up environment
• A degree (Bachelor, Polytechnic or Cert) in Automation engineering, Industrial Automation or equivalent.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in industrial- and/or process automation systems
• Extensive experience in PLC and HMI programming (preferably Siemens)
• Good knowledge in Electrical design and CAD (preferably E-plan)
• An interest in traveling to sites for FAT, SAT, commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting of systems
• Excellent communication skills and you are fluent in English (both verbally and written)
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team of engineers
Meritorious
• Experience from working with commissioning, start-up, and support in an international setting
• Machine safety experience in risk assessments, safety programming, CE marking
• Experience in product development in a start-up environment
