The center organizes international conferences, holistic educations and cultural events advocating a sustainable world. The center is located in Sjöbo, Sweden.
We are looking for an Ecology teacher specialized in the topics of permaculture, climate change and sustainable development. As a teacher you will be giving both practical and theoretical classes on those topics. Our permaculture farm serves as a model, where students explore the aspects of sustainability and sustainable development practically under your guidance. Theoretical classes will take place in the classrooms of our Centre, where you will give a broad understanding and insight to students of all ages from different nationalities and cultures. Your position requires you to be fluent in English and French, since your assignment besides teaching in the both languages also involves translation of teaching material from English to French. The position involves working with sustainable development projects in developing countries and to provide consultancy in this field.
You must have a deepened knowledge in Ecology specialized in the fields of environmental studies, climate change and sustainability. Minimum 5 years of practical experience in these fields is required. Additionally you must have knowledge and experience in agriculture, forestry and permaculture gardening with minimum 2 years of practical experience. You must have the experience of working in developing countries in the NGO sector with at least 2 years experience. The applicant must hold minimum a diploma in the above mentioned fields. Since the participants of our courses are international, we expect you to have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French. As a person you need to be responsible, flexible, energetic, creative and you need to have social skills. We place great emphasis on the personal character and you need to be interested in the deep ecology life style.
