The school is an independent, open-admission, co-educational Kindergarten to 12 day school governed by a Board of Trustees. All instruction is in English. The educational program is modeled after the International Baccalaureate guidelines. The school year is mid-August to mid-June and has a minimal instructional period of 180 days divided into two semesters. The school has enjoyed strong academic success and is going through a stage of rapid expansion.
REPORTS TO: Principal
Purpose:
To provide an excellent education for Early Years/Kindergarten (age 3-6) students
Duties/Responsibilities:
The teacher is responsible for the following:
• Teaching the students.
• Communicating regularly with parents.
• Be an active and contributing member of the Primary School faculty.
• Participating in the full range of professional activities in the school.
• Actively contributing to the operational needs of the school.

Qualifications, Attributes and Experience
The teacher is expected to have:
• Teaching qualification.
• Experience as a teacher with young children.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to establish rapport with adults and students.
• The ability to work effectively in a team
• A pleasant and friendly personality.
• The ability to function effectively under pressure.
• The ability to show initiative and work independently.
It would be desirable for the successful applicant to have a working knowledge of Early Childhood Education, the International Primary Curriculum or their equivalent.
Experience working with students from diverse cultures and countries would be an advantage.
