Job description
As System Verification Engineer you will perform tests in order to verify / validate TechTool software, Diagnostics Content and other parts of Volvo diagnostics solution. You will do that by following all necessary steps in the SW testing process including test preparation, test execution and test reporting. Operationally You will report to Head of QCIVV while You will have Manager Workshop Systems as line manager.
Your main focus will be to:
• Support Test Analysts with analyzing and reviewing design specifications in order to update existing test cases and/or to create new ones if necessary. The automation scripts are to be preferred
• Based on the analysis above request proper test environment (test object, test equipment, simulation models, test data, etc.)
• Give the input based on analysis results to the design team
• Prepare necessary TechTool / Diagnostics Content upgrades for system under test (SUT) before execution
• Independently execute tests of TechTool and diagnostics solution in our test environments (trucks, rigs, simulation models, etc.)
• Report the results in a clear and traceable way through the internal tools and give retrospective inputs to the Test Manager
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the test effort and based on that propose and drive improvements to the test process
Required knowledge/experience:
• A Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering, Physics Engineering or Mechatronics/Automation Engineering) or equivalent professional experience. A Master 's degree is a merit
• Basic knowledge about electronics / embedded SW testing on system level
• Basic knowledge of the different methods for monitoring / steering a system under testing and logging the data
• Basic knowledge of the equipment for electronics System testing (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.)
• The traceability is a key word for quality securing of our methods and results so both planning and reporting in different tools is requested
• Basic knowledge of test automation methods, simulation tools, virtual verification methods is a merit
• Basic knowledge in agile SW development way of working including continuous integration / continuous delivery / continuous deployment chain is a merit, preferably SAFe 4.0 or higher
• ISTQB certification is a merit
• International and multi-cultural experience within global organizations is a merit
• Some aftermarket knowledge and knowledge of Volvo Group products
• Excellent English, other languages considered to be a merit.
