Your role
Saab Surveillance Electronic Warfare in Järfälla is now looking for an experienced System Safety Engineer. You will be a part of the department for Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) & System Safety. The group is responsible for the competences within ILS & System Safety at Electronic Warfare (EW) in Järfälla, and are present in development projects within all our product families.
In this role, you will be a part of the development of world-class EW technology such as Gripen E EW System and Global Eye EW systems. The System Safety Engineer is a very important role to be an ambassador for the functional safety perspective in the development of our products.
Tasks will include:
* Identification of what analyses that needs to be performed in a project
* Performance of traditional System Safety analyses, such as Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Fault tree analyses (FTA), Failure Modes, Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), System Hazard Analyses (SHA) etc
* Compile a Safety Compliance Assessment (SCA) with safety requirement fulfillment
* Support in quotation work with estimations of potential tasks

Your profile
To thrive in this role, you are a self-motivated person with an interest to take a broad responsibility in our projects concerning System Safety. You are used to efficiently collaborating with team members as well as other engineers to be able to perform the needed analyses. You are structured and have a confident mindset enabling you to adapt to circumstances.
Required skills:
* Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science, or another relevant experience of System Safety work
* Minimum five years of relevant work experience
* Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
* Experience with general product development and product lifecycle
Desired skills:
* Experience with the standards MIL-STD-882, RTCA-DO-178, RTCA-DO-254
* Knowledge in INCOSE way of working, or equivalent Systems Engineering process
* Experience with FTA tools such as Windchill Quality Solutions

You will collaborate with experienced engineers and professionals in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth. You will be part of the Electronic Warfare (EW) unit who provides efficient solutions for surveillance and decision support, for threat detection, location, and protection. The team you will join consists primarily of ILS Engineers, Team Leaders and System Safety Engineers. EW is part of the Business Area Surveillance.
