We currently have the following job opening;
System Manager Front and Rear Closures
This is an assignment at Front and Rear Systems within the Module Team Closures. The Closures department is responsible for the development of doors, hoods, fenders, sealing systems and closure hardware for all Lync & Co cars developed in Sweden at CEVT.
This is a senior engineering role where you will work tightly together with the System Engineers within the Front and Rear team as well as the Senior Manager of the Front and Rear team.
The System Manager will focus on the technical requirements for Front and Rear systems. The tasks span from new concepts (Advanced Engineering) to detailed supplier specifications. The System Manager for Front and Rear Closures is responsible of investigating, benchmarking, identifying trends, documenting and defining the concepts to be used in the coming cars and following up its proper execution, from concept to production. The System Manager is responsible for the proper function of the front and rear closures subsystem and makes sure it will fulfill all the demands required by other departments within the CEVT organization as well as outside CEVT organization.

The System Manager Front and Rear will be part of the Closure Functional Management team and will report directly to the Module Team Director Closures. The position is located in Gothenburg, Lindholmen.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Drive, develop and establish system requirements
- Develop system technology strategies and commonalities as well as system design solutions to meet project requirements
- Define interfaces and participate in mechanical and electrical/SW integration meetings in early project phases
- Plan and monitor system development activities in early project phases
- Ensure proper solution of conceptual issues found throughout the project lifetime
- Lead and coordinate cross functional team (System/design engineers, Purchasing, SQM, ME, CAE, validation, etc.)
- Secure legal requirements for Front and Rear Closure systems, current and future
- Secure technical requirements (Design prerequisites as well as suppliers Technical Regulation)
- Secure Front and Rear Closure systems performance according to project requests
- Handle / support homologation activities
Requirements
- MSc in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Extensive know-how within Automotive for Front and Rear Closures systems
- Deep understanding on specification writing
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for metal and plastic components.
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Ability to travel Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
- Structured approach and strong strive for cooperation
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both oral and written
