We currently have the following job opening;
System Manager Engine Integration
As a System Manager, you are responsible for the hardware development area of EAI - Engine as Installed - and EAS -Engine as Shipped. You will have the technical lead of a team of System- and Design Engineers located here in Sweden. You will take the project lead in early phases of our different projects. You will need to build and maintain a network with expertise across the corporate Geely group in the technical area of Engine Integration.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Technical system responsible over time to ensure commonality and efficient change management
- Drive, develop and establish system requirements
- Develop system technology strategies and commonalities
- Act as Concept leader until the gateway Program Confirmation
- Develop system design solutions together with our partners and suppliers, based on best practice to meet new requirements
- Define and plan component and system simulation, testing and validation together with our CAE team, the System Verification Leader and our partners
- Lead and coordinate cross functional team (System/design engineers, Purchasing, Supplier Quality Management engineers, Manufacturing Engineering, CAE etc.) in concept phase
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. Eng
- 5-10 years' experience of automotive development
- Relevant experience of the specific system area of Engine integration is a requirement
- Experience of supplier and project management
- Ability to drive, motivate and convince
- Persistency to pursue targets, take decisions and able to respond to changing priorities
- A creative and curious mind
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
