Fyndiq is growing rapidly in terms of merchants, visitors and data volumes and a key responsibility for our System administrators is to make sure that we are able to scale all of our systems to be future-proof.
Your work tasks will include keeping our systems secure, reliable, fast, and scalable.
As a System administrator in our team you will work together with 10 highly skilled technicians that take pride in creating elegant, simple solutions.
The Tech team consists of a Platform / System administrator team (2), Backend Application Developers (7), and a Frontend team (1).
Who are you?
You would feel excited working with technologies like Nginx, Galera Cluster for MySQL, ZFS / FreeBSD for easy incremental backup of large data quantities, RabbitMQ, Solr clustering using ZooKeeper, and Icinga / Nagios for monitoring.
We believe you have about 3-5 years of experience from the field. You have prior experience from handling production environments with a high and rapidly growing amount of traffic. You feel very comfortable in Linux/Unix environments and we think you have excellent relational database design and maintenance skills. You feel comfortable tuning MySQL to handle large datasets and high throughput.
To succeed in this role we would like you to be a responsible person who enjoy teamwork, have good communication skills, and sees the benefits of structure. Experience from working with cloud services is meritorious as well as having the knowledge on how it is to work in a start-up environment.
