Undergoing an intense growth phase, the Dirac team consists of more than 100 people - with additional expansion on the immediate horizon.
We are looking for a SW engineer, application, for our Home & Pro team in Uppsala, Sweden.
The team develops and productizes our renowned Dirac Live solution for room correction and bass control, targeting home AVR's (audio video receivers), as well as home and professional studio users. We have some of the world's largest AVR brands as our customers. The solution enables calibration,correction,and optimization to enhance sound system performance and minimize any negative influence of room acoustics.It is based on end-user measurements, feeding into patented and highly unique correction technology. Part of the solution is integrated into the AVR, and part is an end-user app, for either desktop or mobile. We are currently improving the user experience as well as developing new powerful features to improve the audio experience even further.
Dirac product development is anchored in our Dirac Intelligent Audio Platform, which enablesour unique value propositions efficiently, with high scalability, high re-use across multiple market verticals, high quality, and short time to market. This is achieved via a modulararchitecture, composed from well-definedandreusable components, separation of business logic and configuration, customization by configurationrather than dedicated code, high portability and test coverage, continuous integration, verified releases, and automation.
As a SW engineer for Dirac Live, you will join an agile product team of passionate developers and audio enthusiasts. You will contribute to the solution's end-user application, including design, implementation, test, and evaluation of parts for both the runtime, the front-end, and the glue that ties it all together. You will be key in integration, testing, and releasing. Most of the implementation is in C++ and the application is released for Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android, and mobile as well as desktop application development experience is desired. Your responsibilities will include end-user application development, testing,and maintainancefor desktop and mobile, implementation and evaluation of filter algorithms in C++, user-interface implementation in Qt QML, setting up and evaluation of the complete solution using audio equipment in our audio labs, and assisting the product owner to refine complex and large work items into smaller, valuable,and estimated user stories, and assist with 2nd line customer support.
Home & Pro team-members are located mainly in Uppsala.
Qualifications
Required:
M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering Physics or similar.
2+ years of industry experience.
Familiarity with signal processing.
Programming experience and proficiency in C++.
Experience with agile development.
Strong passion for audio, and experience setting up audio systems for recording and mixing audio.
Very structured way of working.
Ability to communicate effectively inside and outside the organization.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Strong drive, and the persistence to stay on top of things and follow through, even when under pressure.
A team-oriented attitude, as well as the ability to work independently.
Desired:
Programming experience with Qt QML, C and Python.
Experience with relevant software engineering tools for CI/CD (Git, CMake, Conan, Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket).
Strong signal processing skills.
