We currently have the following job opening;
Strength and durability CAE Engineer
During development of a vehicle, requirements for the complete vehicle can often be broken down to system and component requirements. The car body, closures and exterior have many system requirements, such as durability, strength and stiffness. Fulfilment of these requirements acts as a prerequisite for a successful complete vehicle validation. At Body & Exterior CAE your task will be to develop and optimize these subsystems to different kinds of requirements and to communicate with both the relevant validation and design teams at CEVT. Communication with our Chinese team members will also be a part of the job as some of the analysis work for these components is carried out in Cixi near Shanghai. The main tools that are used in the daily work are ANSA, MSC Nastran, Abaqus, nCode DesignLife and uETA.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Set-up and solve mainly durability and strength load cases
• Build FE models, assemble subsystem FE models
• Cooperate with the team members that are located in our Chinese office in Hangzhou
• Communicate results and design development proposals with attribute, validation and design engineers
• Contribute to develop Body/Exterior CAE-team efficiency
Profile and Background
• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil engineering or Engineering physics with focus on Structural dynamics or Fatigue, or similar
• Ability and interest to interact with people outside your own organization
• Ability and interest to work in cross functional and international teams
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Basic knowledge in Swedish
• Knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin) is a merit
• Experience from similar work tasks within the automotive area as well as our main software tools is a merit, but we welcome applications from newly graduated engineers.
