The late phase drug development organization at AstraZeneca Gothenburg, Sweden is looking to expand the group of statisticians.
You will join a team of statisticians and statistical programmers to provide statistical expertise to the design, conduct, evaluation, documentation and regulatory submissions of our clinical development programs. The position will also include work of a more exploratory nature, e.g. modeling and simulation as well as other means to improve decision making.
Depending on your experience, you may contribute to more strategic planning, quantitative decision making, act as expert in our contact with external providers and collaborators, coach more junior staff and be involved in adapting and developing statistical methodology.
The open positions can be at different seniority levels. Hence, applications from candidates at the very beginning of their career as well as those with some or extensive experience from the pharmaceutical industry or other statistical applications are most welcome.
Requirements
The minimum required educational level is a master's degree in a relevant discipline such as statistics, biostatistics or mathematical statistics.
As our work is conducted in cross functional project teams in an international environment, good collaboration and communication skills, as well as good written and spoken English are necessary. Successful candidates will have the ability to communicate statistical matters to non-statisticians as well as a genuine interest in the application of statistics in pharmaceutical development.
Post-graduate research degree, experience from drug development or other related fields and experience in using statistical software such as SAS or S-Plus/R are relevant qualifications.
