Job Overview:
A single point of contact for the Northern for FP&A responsibilities, this will support the North Region in enabling data provision and financial analysis to the SVP Northern region, and also support EMEA Finance in provision of information and analysis at a sub-EMEA level to Corporate FP&A. The role will also include finance support to the countries. Report to the Regional controller.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provision of 'standard' Management financial reporting for North, including KPI reporting on Booking, Billing, Revenue, OPEX and Cash
• Financial analysis for the region, including Year on Year, Variance to Budget and Variance to Forecast views
• Forecasting process ownership for the region (including review of COMMIT, Revenue Projections, and (new in FY08) OPEX forecasting by country/function
• Cash Collection and Disbursement forecasting, analysis and reporting
• Financial support at a Functional level (e.g. Marketing, GIS etc) for the region
• Budget Coordination
• Support to the countries in various finance processes
Position-Specific Decision-Making Authority:
Generally works without consulting their manager.
Independent decisions are made weekly.
Examples of typical decisions without manager consultation:
Change format or content of monthly financial review packages.
Provide analytical support to various business owners.
Approve minor overspending against budget.
No significant budgetary or other financial accountability.
Does not supervise (hire, evaluate, and/or terminate) other employees.
Position-Specific Authorities:
Handle moderately complex problems that arise in everyday work, and escalates more complex problems.
Prioritize work to make best use of resources.
Business Travel:
Business travel of approximately 5 or less percent yearly is expected for this position.
Position-Specific Education, Experience and Certifications
Preferred Education:
Part Qualified Accountant
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Work Experience
Typically 2 or more years of related experience. -From finance department or audit firm.
Specific Skills and Certifications:
• EXCEL / System skills to a high level of proficiency required
• Analytical methodology and mindset to approaching financial analysis and reporting
• Good accounting skills
• Pragmatic / Innovative approach to problem solving
• Team player with the ability to work across cultures and management level
• Self motivated and 'completer finisher' style.
• Able to handle multiple deadlines in a pressurised environment
• Language english
