Sourcing Manager to Commercial Operations, Scania Purchasing

Commercial Operations is a department within Purchasing created to support the purchasing activities in the Commercial Operations' companies within Scania globally. Together with the Commercial Operations organisation we are developing new ways of working with purchasing and can offer a very challenging and entrepreneurial environment. In this work we have the opportunity to leverage volumes and spend across countries and business units. The tasks ahead of us is challenging with tough goals of savings and value creation to be achieved by bundling volumes, standardization between different countries, and at the same time improve service to our customers.

We are now looking for a Sourcing Manager that shall focus upon Real Estate projects and purchasing activities in the area of workshop development. SRC consist of 10 persons and we are located centrally in Södertälje.

Job description
You will, together with our internal customers, be responsible for the development and implementation of purchasing projects & strategies for our Commercial Operations' companies. The work includes responsibility for negotiations, supplier selection as well as supplier quality, service and cost development.

In this work you will work in close co-operation with Business Unit Sourcing Managers, Commercial Operations centrally and the Scania Distributors world-wide. You will work with the segment owners (Procurement Team Leaders) to achieve the optimal sourcing of products and services.

Job requirements
For the position we believe you have relevant experience from a purchasing environment of minimum 3 years. Your ability to create confidence and trust among colleagues at Scania Purchasing and our internal customers will be vital. Furthermore it is important that you are capable of managing a change process and to implement new methods and principles. The position demands high level of initiative and self motivation. If you have knowledge of working with real estate projects it's an extra advantage. You should be independent, curious and driven in your work.

Since you will lead a change process and implementation of new methods and principles, your leadership skills and your ability to create confidence and trust among our internal customers are vital. Building and maintaining good relationships at a distance is another core trait that is essential.

You are fluent in English both written and oral.The work will require some travelling.
