The team members of the Exterior team are working to secure the supplier base for current demands as well as working to meet our future challenges. We are working in an international environment in close cooperation with our colleagues in the Volkswagen and Traton Group.

Responsibilities
In your role as a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for the rubber segment, developing the supplier base, setting strategies for those material groups and aligning the strategy cross functionally and within the Traton group, assuring the right technology, quality, delivery and cost focusing on sustainability. An important part of your work is building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and to continuously managing potentials and risks within the supplier base.
As a sourcing manager for the rubber segment, you are also responsible for creating business plan activities and delivering on those, ensuring that we reach our commercial targets. You will also work with cases within our product cost optimization program.
As a commodity purchaser, you will lead the 3-ring work for the rubber segment, which consists of colleagues from the project and quality team. In the projects, you will ensure alignment with the overall material group strategy when new parts and suppliers are being introduced, run negotiations and present cases in our decision forums.
You will work on resolving delivery disturbances as well as having the responsibility to assure capacity at suppliers, securing a robust and resilient supply chain in the long term.
At Scania we always strive for continuous improvements and this will also be expected from you in your role as a Sourcing manager. We want you to take initiatives within your area of responsibility to drive improvements in for example way of working and strategy definition for your segment.
In this role, you will have a lot of freedom to act and to take decisions together with your team. You will also be able to develop your leadership skills by leading your 3-ring and by cooperation with other brands within the Group.
Your profile
You are a person with a great commercial interest and a passion for doing business while staying close to technology. You are analytical, structured, take own initiative and are able to handle multiple things at the same time.
You are good at maintaining relationships and like to represent purchasing in cross functions as well as towards suppliers in a professional way. You are also self-driven with high integrity and contribute to the team's development.
We see that you have an academic degree in industrial engineering, business or similar. We appreciate if you have experience from a role within Scania, the automotive industry or similar, with acknowledged good results. However, one of the most important aspects is your ambition and willingness to learn and develop with us.

My name is Bastian Boegelein and I have been in different management positions within Scania during the last 5 years.
