The team members of the Exterior team are working to secure the supplier base for current demands as well as securing the future challenges. We are working in an international environment and are collaborating with our colleagues in the Volkswagen and Traton Group.

Responsibilities
In your role as a sourcing manager you will be responsible for the rubber segment, defining the supplier base, setting strategies for those material groups and aligning the strategies cross functionally and within the Traton group. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and continuously managing potentials and risks within the supplier base.
As a sourcing manager for the rubber segment, you are also responsible for creating business plan activities and delivering on those, ensuring that we reach our targets for the team and department.
You will also lead the 3-ring work within the segment, which consists of colleagues from the project and quality team. You will together with your colleagues work with projects and new parts to be introduced within your material groups. In the projects you will ensure strategy alignment with the overall material group strategy, run negotiations and present cases in our decision forums.
As part of your job description you will also work with several cases within the product cost optimization program as well as potentially delivery disturbances and other kinds of deviations.
At Scania we always strive for continuous improvements and this will also be expected from you in your role as a Sourcing manager. We want you to take initiatives within your area of responsibility to drive improvements in for example collaboration and way of working and strategy definition for your segment. In this role, you will have a lot of freedom to act and to take decisions together with your team. You will also be able to develop your leadership skills by leading your 3-ring meetings and cooperation with other brands within the Group.
Your profile
You are a person with great commercial interest and a passion for doing business while staying close to the technology. You are analytical, structured, take own initiative and are able to handle multiple things at the same time.
You are good at maintaining relationships and like to represent purchasing in cross functions as well as towards suppliers in a professional way. You are also self-driven with high integrity and contribute to the development of the team.
We see that you have an academic degree in industrial engineering, business or similar. We appreciate if you have experience from a role within Scania, the automotive industry or similar, with acknowledged good results. However, one of the most important aspects is your ambition and willingness to learn.

My name is Bastian Boegelein and I have been in different management positions within Scania during the last 5 years. I really enjoy working at Scania, in a truly international environment where I can combine my commercial and industrial interests. As a manager, I believe that people are our greatest assets. I get motivated by developing the team and the team members, as well as finding the individual potential. I believe that the team's goal is everyone's goal and that we are strong together.
