In the service area Business Intelligence at SSF we develop BI solutions to help our business units make the right strategic and operational decisions. The demand for BI solutions is high and is expected to grow as the need for decision support is increasing in most business functions. We are now looking for a senior system architect for one of our warehouse platforms what provide businesses in logistics and production with BI analysis. Systems running on the platform are i e Logistic data warehouse and Ninja.
We offer three positions with a high pace and many challenges, as well as many rewarding opportunities to make a difference. The demand for BI solutions is high and is expected to grow as the need for decision support and analytics capabilities is growing.
You will join a great team within Service Area BI where you will have a key role in delivering value to a crucial business. You will closely collaborate with business, f ex our buying office and/or sales organization, where a wide range of analysis is done in many exciting areas. In the service area business intelligence, we develop BI solutions to help our business units make the right strategic and operational decisions.
As a solution architect you will work in an area with business representatives, service responsible, system responsibles, and development teams. You will have the opportunity to influence the architecture and landscape of the BI area at H&M. You will also have a close collaboration with other architects within BI.
We believe that you are a person who will come up with creative ideas and solutions for how to solve the analysis needs that our business requires. In other words, you have great influence in providing the analytics that's making our business successful. For this role, we think that you have the ability to work on strategic level rather than in details and are an analytic and structured person.
Your responsibilities
The job as Solution Architect comes with lots of responsibility - and lots of fun.
Your to do-list includes:
• Responsible for both short term and long-term architecture of the platform
• Responsible for assuring development is aligned with architectural principles and guidelines
• Responsible for maintaining system map and integrations requests
• You will participate in analysis and understanding of business requirements
• Responsible for verifying design and acts mentor to solution designers
• Responsible for technical risk analysis
• You will participate in large integration requests in order to secure do-ability
• Responsible for verifying that architecture supports both functional and non-functional requirements
• Analyse the need for and drive the requirement for technical improvement work within the area
Just like everyone at H&M, we believe you are a social, open, communicative sales-minded and ambitious team player full of drive and optimism. And your skills and knowledge includes:
• You have several of years' experience of development of data warehouses, preferably in the Microsoft-suite or Data Warehouse appliances
• You have many years' experience from designing and developing Business Intelligence solutions
• You are skilled in leading architectural work and have the ability to translate requirements into technical solutions
• You have several of years of development in relational databases with star schemas
• Good understanding how IT solutions support business processes
• You have the ability to work on strategic level rather than in details
• You are an experienced leader and a team player
• You have excellent communication skills, both orally and written, in English and preferably Swedish
• Service minded, enjoy a high pace and like to work in a changing environment
• Experience from working in distributed teams is a plus
It's a plus if you have experience of Informatica PowerCenter.
