Our success requires smart IT solutions due to increase in the use of digital technology. As a result, Scania IT will be an important player in this change process.
The group Purchasing IT within Scania IT is responsible for developing and managing IT systems within Scania's Purchasing department globally.
We are now looking for a person with a significant interest in Solution Architecture. You will play a central role in our development teams and will have many contacts around the Scania organization as well as the Volkswagen group. We can offer work close to operations with technical variation at a company with a very good working environment.
Job description
As the Solution Architect for Purchasing you will be responsible for establishing the optimum technology solution to meet a specific business need. We continuously improve the Purchasing application landscape by enhancing the own developed systems as well as introducing new solutions and phasing out old systems.
You will focus on defining IT architecture built on state of the art technology guided by the Scania enterprise architecture principles and Desired IT State.
Your main tasks will be:
Understand the business strategies and visualize the future Purchasing IT landscape that enables the business goals.
Keep an overview of the existing solutions, new development initiatives, and secure that the solutions documentation such as modelling etc. is being performed according to set guidelines.
Participate in the portfolio work within the domain. Coordinate business initiatives, plan and drive architectural initiatives to reach the vision.
Secure reuse approach within the domain but also from other domain.
Your profile
We expect you to have a university degree in Computer Science, complemented with at least 5 years of architectural work.
In order to be successful you need to have:
The ability, to constructively challenge ideas and design approaches
Strong design, analytical and technical aptitude
Experience of understanding business requirements and working with key business and technology stakeholders
Good understanding of multiple architectural design patterns, ERP systems
Ability to articulate ideas and be fluent in whiteboard demonstrations
Excellent architecture diagramming capabilities
Experience and be comfortable with an Agile development environment
Verbal and written communication skills, ability to create effective requirements documents and review them with project stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
You need to be proficient in written and spoken English. German language skills is an advantage.
