We are looking for a Software Systems Engineer for our RCS Division in Stockholm
Your Role
In this position you will be a part of a team that develops software for our signalling systems for trains. You will develop industrial real-time embedded products and wayside object controller products with high safety requirements & reliability in an operational environment. You will get the opportunity to continuously develop into a more senior role of Systems Engineer.
Your Challenges
You will work with all steps in the development process: requirements, design, implementation, test, documentation and release. The software development work can include everything from architecture definition, application software design to firmware design as well as design tests in our lab.
In the long run the role will develop into Systems Engineering i.e. to identify input requirements (typically from a customer) and to formalize them into requirements and interface specifications. These responsibilities include the support of other project stakeholders in their part of implementing projects.
You will be responsible for a complete work-package and lead a small group of people to achieve a total set of deliverables by planning and coordinating activities.
Your Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will fulfill the following criteria:
• You have at least five years experience of development of embedded system software in an industrial environment
• Knowledge and experience in software engineering (real-time, distributed, safe and fault-tolerant systems)
• Experience and knowledge in C and/or C++ (including tool chain and other languages used in projects)
• Experience in object-oriented design and development
• Software module testing and test-driven development, or similar methodologies, but also familiar with ?hands-on? testing in lab environment using emulators, oscilloscopes etc.
• Experience in analysis and design of signalling systems, reliability analysis, system analysis and dynamics
• Some experience in hardware engineering in a signalling context
