The product development within Kongsberg Automotive is subject to global competition, with high demands on our performance. Kongsberg Automotive have now started a new Center of Excellence (COE) for Electronic Hardware and Software development in Mullsjö. This team is responsible for design, development and test of the electronics for the full product range within all business areas in Europe.
We also work together with our colleagues in North America and Asia in a global automotive market.
Software Engineers & Hardware Engineers
Our objective is to be in the global frontline of our product ranges where electronics is having an increasing impact on our designs. Working towards global customers and suppliers means a great portion of international contacts.
You are a part of a functional team that works with the full range from concept studies to product design and refinement of existing products. To be able to grow our business and to further develop the COE Electronics we are aiming to hire a substantial number of new Software Engineer and Hardware Engineers.
Software Engineers
• Design and develop embedded and PC software, as part of
the system design.
• Design integrated circuits together with the electronic designer. Participate in startup, evaluation and ensure maintenance of the software component and electronic equipment.
• Work on complex projects with autonomous and
embedded systems.
• Prepare software quotes for electronic products, establish
product proposals. Ensure product development, technical
drawings, functional diagrams, write the code, prepare documentation, establishes plans and functional/qualification test procedures for the software.
• Takes part in establishing specifications proposals for new products and services, and provides cost analysis for developing quotes.
• As an expert in his field, he resolves questions related to applications and supports development and validation of various products.
Hardware Engineers
• Drive hardware requirements from customer requirements and system design specification.
• Design hardware in accordance with the hardware requirements and system design specification.
• Verify hardware design using theoretical calculations, analysis, simulations and test.
• Create documents for manufacturing of PCB's and PCBA's.
• Analyze test data from HW test engineer to ensure that the design fulfills all requirements.
• Create HW/SW interface specifications in collaboration with SW designer.
• For both positions you need to be fluent in English
