At the moment we are looking for Software Engineer to join our Firmware Extensions team within our Research & Development organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In this role you will help us evolve our Linux Application Platform. This comprises architecture and design work, as well as implementation and troubleshooting to meet Axis quality requirements. In your daily work you will be a part of a development team with a full responsibility for a part of our platform.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent and a solid interest in programming. You are skilled in C, have experience using scripting languages and have experience using open source software. Linux is the OS both for our development environment as well as in our products. You will work in an international environment; you have excellent communications skills in English, both written and oral.
Teamwork is key to Axis and central to the way of working in the Firmware Extensions team. We expect you to contribute to a good team spirit, helping us to a creative and stimulating work environment.
THE FIRMWARE EXTENSIONS TEAM
Firmware Extensions is part of our Product & Services department. Within the Firmware Extensions team we are responsible for the streaming, storage management and event management in Axis’ network cameras.
Product & Services is a unit within Research & Development responsible for application functionality in Axis cameras. We work close to the Products team and the organization worldwide to make sure we have competitive and high quality functionality in our products.
