www.fingerprints.comFPC seeks an SoC Architect Engineer to help us in developing future fingerprint systems for smartphones and other mobile devices. The sensor design is a mixed-mode design in a standard CMOS process. FPC is a global leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the entire system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to the algorithms and software for fingerprint including the recognition, and applications on the target devices.
The Role
The position of SoC Architect Engineer includes working in close cooperation with colleagues developing future sensor systems to meet future demands for fingerprint systems. In FPC you will be able to work with projects from concept to proven silicon. You will be responsible for our low power SoC/Microcontroller development within the ASIC department. You will also work in close contact with external partners.
We are seeking candidate with 5+ years of experience for the position.

The work location will be preferred in Gothenburg as agreed between FPC and the candidate.
International travel to FPC suppliers, partners, and customers may occur.
Your Background
This role requires a Master of Science in Engineering, with specialization in electronics, physics, computer science or equivalent. You have several years of occupational experience of similar fields to apply for this position.
You can communicate fluently in English, written and spoken, and have the possibility to travel if necessary.
Success in this role requires:
• Knowledge and experience in SoC/Microcontroller design with embedded processor core(s)
• Knowledge and experience in ASIC technology, IP and foundry selection
Preference will be given to those with experience in the following areas. Please highlight in your application the areas in which you have experience/knowledge in your application:
• Verification of SoC/Microcontroller designs HW/SW
• Using processors cores like ARM, Tensilica/Xtensa or similar
• System knowledge in Power management, Cryptographic, DSP and Image processing
• C, C++ and Unix/Linux
• Digital design and verification
• VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog and UVM
• Team leader, project management or similar roles
You also have essential qualities such as being ambitious, motivated and flexible. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to assume considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the company's success. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace.
