What you'll do
As a team member of the supplier quality management team you will be responsible to evaluate external supplier's capability of quality in sourcing process. Furthermore you will drive quality assurance of process at external suppliers in industrialization phase. You will also:
* Drive concern resolutions towards external suppliers in running production in order to minimize disturbances to Volvos vehicle plants and receiving centre's
* Develop your dedicated supplier base, by continuous contact med suppliers.
* Follow up quality, go through root causes with the supplier
On a personal level
To succeed in this role you need to be driven and coaching person, this is two traits you will use on a daily basis with the suppliers. In order to fully enjoy the job you also need to like working independently and to take initiative. To build relationships and maintain them with the suppliers comes naturally for you because you are a communicative individual. Lastly you like using your communications skills to coach and drive the suppliers forward.
Do you fit the profile?
* Bachelor's degree within the technical, logistics area or equivalent experience
* Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes
* Verified competence and capable to use quality tools & methods
* Fluent in both spoken and written English,
* Excellent Communication and presentation skills
* Ability to travel at least 2-3 times a week
