About the Role
Vertiv is hiring a Site Manager - Nordics to join our expanding team supporting customers across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.
In this role, you'll take a hands-on leadership position overseeing on-site activities for complex Switchgear, Busbar, AC Power, and Thermal projects. You'll be responsible for ensuring that installations, start-ups, commissioning, and inspections are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Acting as Vertiv's on-site representative, you'll coordinate contractors and technicians, drive progress, and maintain strong relationships with customers and project teams. This is an ideal role for a technically skilled and safety-conscious professional who enjoys working in the field and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise all on-site installation, start-up, commissioning, and testing activities.
Lead daily site operations and coordinate contractors, engineers, and technicians.
Conduct site inspections and enforce compliance with all health and safety procedures.
Review technical documentation, manage manpower planning, and ensure adherence to project scope.
Resolve site issues promptly and maintain daily progress reporting to project leadership and customers.
Support customer meetings, pre-site briefings, and site acceptance testing.
Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and coaching to field teams.
Ensure all documentation, reports, and commissioning packages are completed accurately and on time.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Site Manager with strong technical expertise and leadership skills. You should have:
A qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering (degree or equivalent).
5+ years' experience in site or construction management, ideally within critical infrastructure or data centre environments.
Strong understanding of Switchgear, Busbar, Power, and Thermal systems.
Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints.
Solid electrical knowledge and commitment to safety standards.
Competence with Microsoft Office and basic CAD or project tools.
A valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) across the Nordics.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on, field-based role involving extensive travel to customer sites across the Nordics. You'll operate in varied environments, from data centres to construction sites, ensuring project excellence and safety at every stage.

Frequent standing, kneeling, crawling, and stooping

Exposure to extreme temperatures (below -20°C / above +37°C)
Moderate to high noise environments (hearing protection may be required)
Working around moving machinery (forklifts, tractors)
Use of protective equipment (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.)
Outdoor work with limited weather protection
