We believe we can achieve our Vision by collaborating with key stakeholders to identify and close gaps based on reliable and relevant information and aligning motivation and incentives to improve and sustain high performance within the health system. Therefore, obtaining information and strengthening the culture of data use, where actual gaps from the community to the national level can be closed, is what we deeply care about.
Shifo's solution are implemented in The Gambia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Afghanistan, Haiti, and Honduras. In these countries, for the first time, starting in 1960, governments agreed to replace the old, large registry books with something new that we have created -a digital database. We designed our product to work in clinics without electricity or an Internet connection, which governments can sustain. The solution saves 70% of administrative time for healthcare workers compared to the existing systems while still providing reliable and complete data, automatically generated reports, and performance indicators, which are delivered to key stakeholders for improved decision-making and action.
Shifo collaborates with Ministries of Health and Major Donors, such as the World Bank, Gavi, The Global Fund, the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and other partners, who support the Ministries of Health in strengthening their health systems.
