Within our global community our Sweden based design team are developing new vehicles building on platform technologies provided by CEVT. An engineering development center working for both Geely and Volvo, CEVT also provides back office support for Geely Design Sweden.
We are currently expanding to provide the capability to deliver an ambitious portfolio of vehicles across multiple segments. Your contribution may be our key to success! The following position are currently open for application:
Senior Visualization Artist
As Visualization Artist you will work collaboratively as a part of the design team. You will work cross projects and be responsible for delivering digital review material ex. for real-time review sessions. You will have a pronounced and sometimes leading role in developing methods, processes and workflow for Visualization group at Geely design internally. Working close with exterior and interior design and color and trim for digital material creation. You will also be part of developing methods and processes for producing future press material. Good understanding and knowledge of design and shape. Very good communication skills. Ability to work in a sometimes stressful and demanding environment is important. You will need to have ability to interact and fit into a small, highly motivated, multi-functional team that is working in a rapid, simultaneous engineering environment. The role offers the rare opportunity to take ownership in the development of new vehicles.
Responsibilities and tasks
The successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently. You must be able to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with external and internal teams at all levels across the company. Typical job duties may include but are not limited to the following:
• Optimizing models for real-time performance.
• Day-to-day work is done in Vred.
• Preparing for, and handling reviews.
• Maintaining master files.
• Shading / Lighting / Texturing.
• Researching and developing pipeline solutions and techniques.
• Interfacing with design, engineering, web, stores and manufacturing to provide visualization solutions.
• Trouble shooting.
• Creating HDR360 and backplate material – Photographing.
• Developing methods, processes and workflow.
Requirements.
• 3 years minimum experience in real time visualization.
• Proficient in Vred.
• Really appreciate quality and have a strong interest in viz technology.
• Strong interest in Automotive technology.
• 2 years minimum experience from automotive industry.
• Accustomed to going above and beyond.
• Very strong drive, can manage conflicts.
• Need to be able to appreciate and develop relevant processes.
• Post production.
• Receptive to learning new tools and exchanging knowledge.
• Understanding of design and shape.
• Material knowledge.
• Fluent in English. Spoken and written.
• Excellent communicator, team player, resourceful, organized and mindful of time management.
Beneficial.
• Experience from film, tv, digital media, design or similar.
• Knowledge from 3ds Max / V-ray.
• Polygonmodeling experience.
• Experience from Octane, Unity, Unreal engine.
• Scripting experience.
• Photo and art interest.
