The Position
As Senior system engineer at NENT, you will be responsible for developing, documenting, and safeguarding solutions that supports NENTs internal business processes using Jira together with different add ons such as Insight, Scriptrunner, and EazyBI. You will also be responsible for existing and future integrations between systems that unlocks the full potential of what we can do with the data that we have.
As part of the NENT core IT team, you will join a team of 17 talented colleagues working with IT systems, tools and equipment, supporting the business needs to perform their daily work. You will be part of our Atlassian guild that currently consists of 3 members that are administrating our Atlassian environment.
The challenge ahead
We are currently working with enhancing the on- and off-boarding processes in Jira keeping track of all devices in Insight and pairing them with employee data imported from our HR system. You will use your expertise to create solutions that meets the requirements of today as well as understand how the solutions can be used to cater for tomorrow in an ever-changing world.
Some of your daily challenges will include
• Take a leading position in developing new solutions in our Atlassian environment including integrations between Jira and other systems trying to automate as much as possible
• Advice on future roadmaps
• Understand the user's needs and convert them into user friendly technical solutions
• Take ownership of incidents with hard debugging and reverse engineering tasks
• Together with the team, ensure that the backlog is managed and that tasks are prioritized and distributed between the team members in a reasonable and fair way
• Document and communicate technical solutions to relevant stakeholders.
What we are looking for
To be our next colleague, we believe that you have several years' experience working as an Atlassian administrator. We believe that you have built several integrations between Jira and other systems using API calls and webhooks and that you have been implementing solutions for Jira using Insight and ScriptRunner to fulfill more complex requirements.
Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:
• A positive mindset
• Superb written and verbal communication skills in English (Swedish is a bonus)
• Previous experience with EazyBI is a bonus.
• Experience in scripting languages, preferably Groovy
