The objective of Ericsson Research Area Security is to provide Ericsson business and development units with security competence, architectures, and solutions for platforms, networks, and services. Our research covers everything from pure cryptography, secure networking, service layer and application security, identity management and privacy to methods for development and evaluation of security systems and software security. Our focus is on new concepts and methods, patents, and standardization.
Job description
In your role, you will have the opportunity to work related to research in security technologies and solutions for future evolution of 5G mobile systems, specifically related to security in distributed edge deployments. The research task covers new technologies, development of methods and concepts to ensure a secure and trustworthy system, covering for example secure distributions of functions in virtualization environments, trusted computing and attestation technologies. You have the responsibility to develop and present your results and may also include participation in international standardization efforts. We strive to develop proof-of-concept demonstrators as part of the research work. The work will require extensive cooperation with different Ericsson units, as well as with external partners, universities and customers.
Key Qualifications
We are looking for person with a PhD degree, in computer science engineering or related subject
Deep understanding of modern security technologies and threats
Knowledge and experience in working with Computing platforms security, trusted computing, operating systems security
Work experience in security in virtualization environments
Good understanding of methods to verify security/attestations
Able to communicate well in English, both in written and oral form
Creativity and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability and eagerness to acquire new knowledge and apply it in the job
In general, knowledge of 5G mobile systems, and hands-on experience on top of theoretical skills is particularly valued.

Security of cloud computing platforms research
Good collaboration and communication skills
Talent for innovation, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
