About this Opportunity:
This full-time position is based in Stockholm, Sweden, within Ericsson Research's ConsumerLab team, part of the Research Area Consumer & IndustryLab. Our small but diverse organization is driven by curiosity and a commitment to shaping a sustainable, connected future by understanding the needs and challenges of consumers, industries, and society. The Senior Researcher will lead critical research to understand the business, consumer, market, and traffic implications of 6G network technology. In this role, you'll turn market and business insights into actionable guidance for network-technology development and customer-facing monetization strategies. Monitor XR, AI, emerging devices and core-connectivity ecosystems to identify upcoming opportunities. This position is highly visible within Ericsson and offers direct interaction and collaboration with leading global tech players and telecom operators. What you will do:
* Combine consumer/market insights with technical insights to identify monetization opportunities for core connectivity and platform business.
* Blend analytical expertise with strategic decision-making to uncover high-value business use cases for next-gen network technologies.
* Develop clear and engaging narratives around complex research findings, translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
* Leverage deep market, business and user-experience insights to identify novel technology and product concepts, collaborate with researchers to shape these ideas into defensible, patentable inventions, and draft clear, comprehensive invention disclosures that align with IP strategy.
* Create high-impact reports, presentations, and executive summaries for key stakeholders.
* Lead presentations to internal teams, senior leadership, and external audiences, effectively communicating research outcomes.

The skills you bring:
* Minimum 8 years of experience in insights, analytics, or research-focused roles.
* Strong background in driving applied consumer and business insights within a corporate environment at leading research or consumer-insights consultancies or in equivalent in-house insight teams.
* Proven track record designing and executing custom quantitative and qualitative studies (surveys, focus groups, ethnographies, online communities) across multiple markets
* Experience in the ICT, telecom, or technology sector in roles related to business analysis, strategy consulting, market/business intelligence, or research.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
* Experience in storyboarding and translating data insights into business narratives.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Working knowledge of statistical and scripting tools (e.g. SPSS, Python, R)
* Working knowledge of business-intelligence and visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
* A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Behavioral Economics, Engineering, Telecommunications)
