This is us, your new colleagues
We, the E&EE Project Management Office, consist of 25 project and portfolio managers. We are involved in all projects with electrical and/or electronic impact. In some product changes we have an overall responsibility for the complete vehicle delivery, in others we take the E&EE project management role for the specification, design and internal verification of the electrical system.
We are moving from traditional project management to a hybrid agile / waterfall development setup that needs to be managed over time. We will have internal agile development in combination with a traditional hardware development. This must all be cross functionally synchronized through our E&EE project managers with the project organization outside the E&EE department.
Many of our projects are global, both in a product perspective and in an organizational perspective. We daily work in close cooperation with our many stakeholders, internal & external, national and international. The fact that our products have impact to many people - all over the world - every day, makes us really proud!
As a Senior Project Manager E&EE, you will be a future key player in the most extensive heavy duty vehicle projects and manage E&EE strategic areas contributing to the overall business. You will be responsible for all aspects of our project deliveries and work with a broad perspective from high level prerequisites and concept development in the early phases - to the later project phases managing planning, development and delivery.
Required knowledge/experience
A MSc degree in engineering or similar is required. You should also have good knowledge of the 'DVP Project Handbook' and be PMP® certified or plan to become so.
At least four years of experience from project management, and from development of embedded systems from the automotive industry is needed. Experience from agile development is considered as an asset. Examples of project you have led includes interfaces with several functional areas on different locations. You have handled projects with rather high risk levels, technical complexity and a total budget ranging around 100-250 MSek.
Since the role will interact in an international environment, being fluent in both spoken and written English is something we require.
Who are you?
To be prepared for this role we think that you have a solid project management background and that you have several proven examples of successful deliveries and positive results as well as insights from having faced though challenges. In our global and sometimes complex organizational structure, and as you will be interfacing both a rather newly established agile set-up as well as the traditional HW development your appreciated communication skills and good way with people will be a success factor.
You are a team player interacting through a broad network, having the skills to transfer high level prerequisites into project requirements and deliverables - as well as being comfortable to communicate project status in steering committees and reference groups, and management teams on executive level. You have the abilities to prioritize and focus the project on the main areas contributing to delivering an improved E&EE business result.
To encourage people comes natural for you, and to set and show clear direction as well as be transparent both in good and though times is a given. You always strive to develop further in your role and show strength to manage risks in planning and decision making. You are of course both business and customer oriented.
