Position Description:
Our Project Managers work in a variety of important areas, such as transition, technical renewal or phase-out initiatives, roll-out and pre-sales. They take on challenging global assignments from customers within or even outside the Volvo Group since we strongly support and actually enable the growth of Volvo IT in the external market.
The role of a Project Manager within Volvo IT contains a lot of responsibilities. A Project Manager shall plan, organize, report and follow up in accordance with an approved project management plan. He or she is leading a temporary organization, which crosses organizational boundaries.
Project Managers within Technical Consulting Services use the same methods, share best practices and live with the same professionalism, always striving for success. We shall make sure, applying win-win partnerships, that we always reach the highest degree in terms of customer satisfaction. At the same time, we pay the greatest attention to human aspects and we add a lot of fun and humour in our daily work!
As a Project Manager, you must have the ability to manage projects with multi-functional teams in a global organization. You feel comfortable changing assignments and you have natural communication and negotiation skills. You feel comfortable taking initiatives and working independently, although at the same time available to share your experience with your fellow colleagues. With a proactive and flexible attitude and the ability to build, develop and grow professional business relationships with your stakeholders you will secure the success of the projects that you are managing as well as the success of our organization as a whole. Being professional in every aspect comes natural for you.

Desired qualifications and skills:
• Project management skills received from at least 5 years documented experience
• Academic qualifications within relevant field
• Experience of consultancy work
• A structured and analytic nature
• Fully proficient in English
• Able to work with multi-cultural, international teams, spread in multiple locations
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Leadership skills
• Change Management skills, able to drive the change and understands its impacts for the various stakeholders
• Proactive, creative and a positive attitude
• Customer and business oriented
• Broad IT knowledge
• Experience from infrastructure management is an advantage
