This is an opportunity to join the Cabs & Vehicle and Industrial Trucks Investment team in Europe. We are a team spread over three sites in Sweden & France and now we are eager to welcome a newcomer to our team. In this position, you will have the possibility to interact with people from the whole world and to get a good insight into different cultures and people. You will develop and grow through formal trainings, but mostly through learning by doing and interacting with colleagues around the world.
What will you work with as Project Buyer within our team?
You will be responsible for handling sourcing of CAPEX investments (production equipment) to the Volvo sites in Sweden and the base of responsibility will be to work towards the Group Trucks Operations site in Umeå. Within the Investment team, we work with the mindset that the right buyer should work with the right project, meaning that depending on person, level of experience and skills, the projects will vary.
Your Main Responsibilities:
Drive purchasing activities for Capex Investment projects
Lead supplier negotiations
Build and maintain strong business relationships with our suppliers
Build and maintain strong relationship with internal stakeholders
Build strategic business plans for specific segment(s)

Desired Education & Experience:
Master of Science or Business Administration
Excellent spoken and written English and Swedish
