hela Sverige We are looking for an On-board Connectivity & Services Solution Architect that will join our On-board telematics team.
You shall lead and set the architecture framework for our on-board solution for connectivity and connected services.
The scope is global, strategic and long-term for all brands and electronic platforms,
The deliveries are mainly focused on the early phases of the development cycle, setting the architectural directives for our development teams.
The work will be dependent on networking across the organization, as well as influencing the work in the other sites since the on-board connectivity architecture is one piece that must fit into the complete on-board EE architecture as well as have good interfaces towards the off-board architecture.
We strongly believe in the agile way of working and have started the journey to change from a traditional waterfall process to using continuous integration, SCRUM and continuous improvement. You will have an important role in our change process and take the role as Solution Architect in the SAFe framework.
The Solution Architect shall:
• lead the work to define a common technical and architectural vision for the Solution under development.
• lead the work to define the system, subsystems, and interfaces; validate technology assumptions; and evaluate alternatives.
• secure alignment between the different Agile Release Trains (ART) and secure a common technological and architectural vision.
• also be an ambassador for our technology area within AB Volvo and inform and sometimes educate all our stakeholders around our architectural strategies and requirements
You are expected to work cross-functionally with E&EE and VGCS and truly "take a system view" on the solution development (SAFe Lean-Agile Principle #2). You shall participate in defining the higher-level functional and Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs). This includes analyzing technical trade-offs, determining the major components and subsystems, and defining the interfaces and collaborations between them. You shall understand the Solution Context and work with the teams, Customers, and Suppliers to help ensure fitness.

What do we think is required for managing this position?
• You need extensive experience of architectural/system engineering within the area of infotainment and/or telematics
• You need proven leadership of a team making a technical delivery together (line, project, agile, etc)
• You need a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
• You need to have experience of working in an agile organization
• You must love to drive for change and result
Besides the mandatory list above, it is a merit if you have:
• experience of SW development
• experience of android development
