InfiMotion Technology develops, manufactures, and sells high performance electric drive units for fully electric vehicles, addressing the whole value chain, including production software and single components.
InfiMotion was founded in 2021 in Wuxi, China, and lead investors are companies such as Geely Auto, Lotus and Ningbo Luma, with a professional board of directors with experienced powertrain and automotive executives from well-known Geely Holding companies.
By the end of 2022, InfiMotion aims to have 700 experienced employees across two R&D Centers in Gothenburg Sweden and in Wuxi China. The InfiMotion team has been responsible for over two million sold units to date, by which over 100 000 were delivered to the European market. The first batch of new high-performance products went in to production early 2023.
The Role;
InfiMotion is looking to strengthen the Propulsion System and Electric Drive team with a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with focus on hardware design.
You will work broadly, supporting and leading the global team in the development of new electric drive solutions, and in particular new inverter solutions. In the role, you are expected to maintain close collaboration with the global InfiMotion team as well as lead and coordinate suppliers to ensure deliveries. This role includes leading development and design of new products and technologies with other experts and senior engineers, supporting strategic- and technology decisions towards senior management. In summary:
• Design new and optimize existing inverter designs towards best balance between performance, efficiency, durability, and cost.
• You will evaluate and design complete electric drive systems.
• Be a part of a cross functional team, supporting software and hardware development for complete electric drive units.
• Represent and lead InfiMotion in customer and supplier meetings.
• Lead and take part in Advanced Engineering projects related to inverters and electric drive systems.
• Manage university contacts within inverter & power electronic topics (research collaborations, thesis work etc.)
• Co-operate with our colleagues in China and meet with our EU-based customers.
• Drive the development of the power electronics within the InfiMotion.
Requirements to succeed in this role;
You have a Bachelor's, preferably a Master 's, degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience within power electronics hardware design, e.g. inverter, control board design (preferably within automotive).
Fluent in English is mandatory.
Merits;
• Experience in power electronics CAE (LTspice, Simulink, Simscape, PSIM or similar) and/or testing is meritorious.
• EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) experience.
• Swedish or Chinese language and working experience from Europe.
• ASPICE
• Worked in industrialization projects (put inverters into production) is extremely meritorious.
