The Quality Engineer supports Short Range Radio module projects in all aspects related to Quality & Reliability as well as taking care about qualifications, customer return analysis & 8D-reporting. Furthermore he supports production, test and R&D Engineering in all tasks related to quality aspects.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:

achieve customer satisfaction
improve internal processes
reduce quality related costs
sustain competitiveness
Establish product-level reliability specifications that will ensure the reliability performance of the products expected by our customer as well as meeting internal requirements
The position holder will be reporting to his line manager located in Switzerland.
Tasks
Manage failure analysis of customer returns received from all regions in accordance with customer expectations regarding corrective action, cycle time and reporting (8D)
Interface R&D and suppliers in order to initiate corrective action required by the individual cases
Follow-up corrective actions initiated internally as well as with suppliers
Feedback conclusions from failure analysis to R&D in order to improve design, test program and/or process
Work closely with R&D to determine/predict component and system life using tools such as FMEA, DoE etc to ensure excellent reliability and extended operating life of the products
Develop module level reliability test plans (including sample size, test time, measurements) to achieve reliability goals and meet specifications
Coordinate reliability testing as well as physical failure analysis with internal and external labs
Analyze reliability test failures (incl. ATE testing) and furnish reliability test report
Support any sustaining activities to reliability planning/conduct testing to engage contractors to develop electrical schematics and build reliability test boards (such as HTOL, THB)
Regular reporting regarding Quality and Reliability topics (incl. customer returns statistics and ppm analysis)
Support production in determining appropriate containment and corrective action plans in case of nonconformities
Provide support to R&D and production in
defining procedures for QA sampling tests and other special sampling instructions
test definition and test release of wireless modules
Analyze QA failures and determine appropriate action plans
Calculate Average Outgoing Quality metrics based on QA sampling results
Supervise automotive related production steps (assembly, testing, burn-in)
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Good background in electronics design and/or semiconductor technology
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Communication skills
Team player
Work self-motivated, disciplined and proactively
Experience in Automotive industry (ISO/TS16949, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, etc.) and knowledge in Quality & Reliability Engineering and statistics are advantages
Good command of both Swedish and English language, German is an asset
Readiness for Traveling (up to 20%)
