The client is designing, manufacturing, installing, commissioning, and providing aftermarket service for a wide variety of drilling systems and equipment.
To the office in South Norway, Kristiansand we are now looking for Senior Mechanical Engineer
The client want to strengthen the group on the design side and therefore seeking an experienced designer who can fill the role of mechanical department responsible for the products. The mechanical engineer must be able to work independently, yet in close contact with the product manager and equipment manager. For people with the right qualifications, there are good opportunities for expanded responsibilities in the department. Group supplies many products to suit customer needs as a creative designer will find many exciting challenges.
Responsibilities will primarily be:
Perform design Autodesk Autocad / Inventor according to guidelines.
Preparation, coordination and control of project specific technical documentation.
Prepare complete drawings for production.
Technical clarifications to the agent, subcontractor and site.
Mechanical Manager in ongoing projects.
Supervision of suppliers and partners internally and externally.
Qualifications and skills:
We are looking for positive and motivated employees who want to move to Norway on a permanent basis. Prior experience within the oil and gas industry is not required but is an advantage. We are looking for people who have expertise in mechanical engineering disciplines as well as relevant experience in mechanical design. You need to be structured, flexible and quality conscious. Good communication and interpersonal skills and good written and oral presentation skills in English is required. Experience of Autocad and Autodesk Inventor would be advantageous. Some travel in connection with the fabrication and testing will be required.
