RFSU is now looking for a Senior Controller for our International work. This is a great opportunity for you who wants to work in a strategic and team leading position!
The vacancy is a full-time temporary position starting after the summer, and for one year.
Job description
In this position you will work as an international business and operations Controller. You will act as a strategic advisor to the Director and Deputy Director of the International unit in financial matters, internal control and have a responsibility to ensure that RFSU complies with the International units donors legal and financial requirements. You will be part of the management team of the International unit and coordinate applications to donors and the unit's internal processes.
You will coordinate and have the responsibility for day-to-day management of three Project Controllers that work directly with RFSU's partner organisations. As a Senior Controller your role is to advise, coach and ensure that work is on track. You are also in charge of planning the team's joint work.
Responsibilities include...
• responsibility for the financial part of RFSU:s application for a new five year period with Sida. This includes for example developing templates, guidelines and procedures for RFSU's international work with partner organisations and ensuring that these comply with contractual requirements.
• being part of the management team of the International unit and responsible for budgeting, follow-up, report and analysis of the international unit's finances.
• day-to-day management of three Project Controllers.
• responsibility for the unit's donors on finance issues and internal control, as well as coordinating budgeting, reporting and audits for the unit's grants.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who...
• has a relevant university education within economics or finance, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience
• has several years' experience of similar Controller-oriented work and management of international aid or other donor-funded activities, also a merit to have previous responsibility for work related to corruption and risk management.
• has previous experience in day-to-day management or other leadership roles
• is comfortable working in English, including writing reports, guidelines and instructions, as all communication in the International unit is in English.
• has some previous experience from working in accounting systems, and is quick to learn new systems.
As a person you are proactive and used to working independently. You have a good ability to organise your work, prioritise and keep track of deadlines. You have good cooperation skills and are used to coordinating and running processes smoothly with others.

The position is a temporary full-time position starting at the latest September 1st 2022, and for one year. RFSU has a collective agreement including among other things occupational pension and benefits such as 37,5 hour work week, flexible hours, wellness allowance, wellness hour and optional subsidised lunch. We have a flexible way of working where those who are able can work from home, to facilitate work-life balance. Our office is located in Södermalm in central Stockholm.
