Inocean is looking for a well-qualified High Voltage (HV) Engineer with Project Management capabilities and experience for an exciting job primarily within the offshore wind industry. There is rapid growth in the offshore wind and accompanying transmission technologies and we are part of this evolution. Inocean has a track record in some of the world 's first and largest offshore grid connection projects, including Borwin1, Dolwin1 and Dolwin2 collectively collecting and transmitting over 2000MW of clean offshore wind energy from the German North Sea. We will continue to reinforce this clean energy revolution and aim to expand our team 's expertise in high voltage to develop new technology as well as the market.
Typical projects are based on HVDC or HVAC technology applied to offshore wind farm grid extensions (i.e. substations), power from shore (also known as offshore electrification) projects within the oil and gas industry and, in some cases, onshore substations. Key tasks typically cover development of an efficient overall HV network that is compliant to the code and in the second phase to integrate all HV equipment into an offshore station during engineering, installation, and commissioning.
You will have the main responsibility for the HV scope of the delivery, including among others;
• Overall HV scope definition
• HV system design
• Specifications and philosophies
• HV network schemes
• Performance studies
• Risk analyses
• Maintenance studies
• Contact and coordination with equipment suppliers
• Follow-up installation and commissioning
• Planning, reporting and cost follow-up for HV scope
Candidate Profile
• Electrical Engineering degree, preferably a Master 's degree (MSc)
• High Voltage system experience is required
• Ability to take a leading role for the HV scope
• Experience from offshore wind projects or renewables is an advantage
• Knowledge in SCADA and Control System is an advantage
• Willing to travel
• Effective communication and leadership skills within diverse and dispersed teams (English is main working language)
• Ability to deliver the project on time, at cost and meeting all requirements/norms/regulations.
• Experience in executing projects with high priority on safety rules and procedures
• Technical interface management between several stakeholders
• Experience with technical documentation
• Familiar with applicable IT-Tools
We will only consider candidates which have a relevant background for the specific job and have the capability to work directly in projects without extensive training.
