The Bio Process Systems department develops instrument systems for liquid chromatography used for protein purification and bio reactors for cell cultivation. Within the department we have many competences such as mechanics, electronics, software and application and we are situated in Uppsala and Umeå. The development is driven in cross-functional, global project teams where we create products for the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry.
Essential Responsibilities:
As a Sr Electrical Engineer, you will work in our innovative environment. The development is driven in cross-functional, global project teams where we create products for the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry.
Our instruments contain advanced optics, fluidics, electromechanical and thermal modules and as a Sr Electrical Engineer you will meet many inspiring people and technical challenges. In your role you will:
• Within a development project, be part of the development of complex mechanical, electromechanical, optical or fluidic components/subsystems and purchased assemblies for meeting system level design specifications. You will detail requirements, develop components and modules, document the design and transfer it to manufacturing.
• Work directly with different business functions and with close supplier engagement to meet serviceability, functional and manufacturability requirements and to facilitate a smooth production transfer.
• Coordinate procurement of prototype material as well as oversee the prototype build and verification of the design.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar experience.
• Significant years' experience in the Automation electrical design of devices using electrical 2D CAD tools.
• Demonstrated ability to design industrial automation electrical hardware systems following industry regulatory standards (MD/EMC/LVD/ -UL/IEC/WEEE/RoHS NFPA).
• Experience at developing, supporting and troubleshooting programmable logic controller programs and software.
• Previous experience with automation systems.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills.
• Exposure to government regulated industries (GMP, GAMP).
• Experience in managing small to medium-sized teams and outside vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive cost, performance, reliability, serviceability and scheduled commitments.
• Curious, outgoing and innovative.
• Excellent in personal planning and with a balanced view on adding innovation and delivering new products to the marketplace.
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

• Experience in gathering and defining customer requirements.
