At Husqvarna Group, we are not only building innovative outdoor power tools - we are also transforming into a data-driven, digitally empowered company. Our IT and data landscape spans across continents, cloud platforms and business areas, and we're on a mission to make data a true asset - at every level of the organization.
With a legacy of innovation dating back to 1689 - from sewing machines and motorcycles to chainsaws and robotic lawnmowers. Husqvarna has always evolved with the times. Today, that evolution is digital. and the future is powered by data.
Now, we're looking for a Senior Data Engineer, who can help take our data platform to that next level.
About this opportunity:
You'll be joining a core team of four that has, over the last five years, built and nurtured the data mesh foundation at Husqvarna. Together, we support over 35 development teams across both AWS and Azure, helping them deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data products.
Your role:
In this role, you will manage multiple Databricks workspaces, handle user access, and enforce best practices across the platform. You will support development teams through guidance and education, while also overseeing data governance using Unity Catalog.
Your responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain data ingestions.
Create and manage Databricks workspaces: user access, workspace lifecycle, monitoring, and best practice enforcement
Guide teams in using Unity Catalog, designing for governance and quality
Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines and storage solutions in AWS and Azure
Use Infrastructure as Code to manage scalable, secure, and repeatable cloud environments
Collaborate across teams to educate, support, and empower developers
Bridge the gap between development and operations by automating infrastructure, improving monitoring, and building resilient systems. (SRE)
Improve system resilience, observability, and automation as part of a DevOps/SRE mindset
Stay up-to-date with new technology trends and innovations in data engineering and cloud development.

About you:
To thrive in this role, you'll appreciate working in a space where there's freedom to shape solutions, but also a shared responsibility to keep things running smoothly - for everyone. Our team is small, trusted, and highly aligned, and we rely on each other to follow through and finish what we start, especially when it comes to building a strong foundation others can rely on.
You care about clarity and structure, and that shows in how you write documentation, guide others, and support best practices. You're the kind of person who listens first, then acts - someone who understands the needs of others, whether you're advising a development team or improving a platform feature.
You take initiative, adapt quickly, and stay focused, even when navigating complex problems. But you also bring a sense of humility - open to learning, always improving, and willing to challenge ideas constructively when it helps the team or the platform grow.
You are great at the end of the project - You are strong at the end of the project. Getting the last brick in place and finishing things are something you're good at.
This is a role for someone who wants to build not just pipelines, but trust - someone who sees the big picture and helps others move confidently through it.
Your Technical Toolbox:
Version control: A strong knowledge of GIT on how it works.
Python: Knows python well and have used it in many different projects.
Databricks: Experience in building and maintaining bigdata pipelines
AWS: Extensive experience working with AWS services.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with infrastructure as code solutions, such as Cloudformation, Terraform or Databricks asset bundles.

An extra plus if you also have experience and knowledge in:
Azure
Azure DevOps: Practical experience in Azure DevOps to automate software development and deployment processes.

Location:
This position will be placed in one of our main sites in Sweden (Huskvarna, Stockholm, Jonsered).
But, with our hybrid working environment, you'll have the flexibility to work both onsite and remotely, promoting work-life balance for all team members. We meet in the office at least 2-3 days a week (50%).
Your Application:
We look forward to your application, please note that we will make an ongoing selection.
