hela Sverige As a Senior Project & Commodity Buyer for ECUs you will be part of the ECU and Semiconductor team, you will be accountable for the Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management, QDCFTSR, of the supplier base on your segments. You will be responsible to make sure that the segment strategy is implemented through the selection of the right suppliers, and by continuously securing supplier QDCFTSR performance by using the tools and purchasing/cross functional network during and after production.
Core Responsibilities
Contribute to segment strategies and segment business plan by being an active member of the global project and commodity buyer network.
Drive all relevant purchasing activities to deliver on QDCFTSR targets during production phase and for aftermarket.
Negotiate and secure agreement coverage for your parts in running production.
Secure supplier selections in projects based on QDCFTSR, aligned with the Segment strategy/Segment Business Plan as well as project requirements.
Develop the Sourcing plan for components & systems according to cross functional time plans.
Manage Sourcing activities in project phase.
Monitor, identify and mitigate risks in the Project phase, Production phase and aftermarket.
To secure the outcome of the sourcing in a contractual package.
Execute agreements with suppliers during the production phase.
Supplier relationship management.
Drive negotiations in order to find extra cost savings.
Keep up to date with innovation in the relevant areas and secure that the Volvo Group benefits from them.
Qualifications
University degree, preferably in engineering or business
Excellent communication and networking skills
Business acumen
Problem solver with an agile way of working
