Are you passionate about driving climate action and making a meaningful impact? This senior specialist role in Climate at Alfa Laval offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sustainability within a global leader. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a strategy to help Alfa Laval achieve near-term climate goals and reach net-zero emissions by 2050-all while ensuring full compliance with regulations.
As the go-to expert on climate, you will lead the charge in raising awareness and expanding knowledge across the business, from guiding the climate network to empowering teams with the insights needed to tackle pressing environmental challenges. Your ability to monitor and analyze emerging trends and climate standards will be crucial in advising the business on the most effective actions to take, ensuring we remain at the forefront of climate leadership.
With climate at the heart of Alfa Laval's long-term vision, your primary focus will be on providing expert knowledge in external reporting. You'll be instrumental in educating the business on best practices and ensuring accurate and compliant climate progress reporting to external stakeholders. By closely tracking evolving standards and regulations, you will guarantee the organization meets all current and future climate reporting requirements.

Reporting to the VP Group Sustainability, the Senior Climate Specialist will be based in Lund.
Key Responsibilities

Drive the creation of governance documents on climate, ensuring alignment with CSRD and other relevant regulations. Collaborate with business and group functions to seamlessly integrate climate into processes across the Group.

Provide subject matter expertise at the Group level on climate-related opportunities, risks, and regulations, enabling informed decision-making and proactive action.
*
Lead and inspire a dynamic climate network at the Group level, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
*
Work closely with the Group Sustainability team and business leaders to develop a forward-thinking climate strategy that aligns with Alfa Laval's sustainability goals.
*
Track progress, communicate key milestones, and guide the actions required to achieve near-term targets and the net-zero goal by 2050.

Represent Alfa Laval in high-profile external partnerships and forums on climate, such as the First Movers Coalition, Exponential Roadmap Initiative, and various academic and industry peer collaborations.

Keep a sharp eye on the evolving regulatory climate landscape, ensuring the Group stays ahead of emerging standards and regulations.

Play a key role in creating impactful external reports, including the Annual Report, CDP, SBTi, and EcoVadis, highlighting Alfa Laval's commitment to sustainability.
*
Support the development of IT tools to secure accurate and reliable data on climate progress, enhancing reporting and decision-making processes.
*
Lead the development and availability of climate training programs at all levels-from basics to advanced-empowering the organization to stay ahead in sustainability knowledge.

Mentor and supervise Master's thesis projects, helping cultivate the next generation of climate leaders and innovators.

Who You are
We are looking for someone that has a relevant academic background at Masters' level with Climate as an integrated part. It is out of essence that you have a minimum of 8 years' experience of an expertise role within Climate.
You have a good understanding of trends and disclosure expectations related to Climate and the ability to plan for evolving expectations and you have gained this by your experience in leading external Climate disclosures, including for annual reports/ Climate reports.
Your English is excellent in both verbal and written and you behold an analytical mindset with the ability to tackle complex issues in a structured and logical way. We value that you can engage with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple business areas and have a collaborative mindset.
