Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Catia V5 Designer with extensive experience in sheet metal engineering and High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC). In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development and design of parts using advanced surfacing and solid modeling techniques. You will have the opportunity to influence new systems and designs, playing a key role in our product development process.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop automotive components using Catia V5, focusing on sheet metal and HPDC applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Utilize advanced surfacing and solid modeling techniques to create innovative designs.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior designers and engineers.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, promoting shared goals among team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a designer, specifically with Catia V5.
Deep knowledge of sheet metal engineering and HPDC processes.
Strong proficiency in advanced surfacing and solid modeling.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and design challenges.
