Senior Category Buyer Hot End Exhaust
At Procurement, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain an excellent supplier base with both sustainability and profitability. Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Do you want to work with market leading suppliers with a very complex area with high value components? Propulsion Dress engine, Boosting, hot-end exhaust Team is now looking for a Senior Category Buyer with responsibility for Hot end exhaust. We are a part of Propulsion purchasing with responsibility for all components related to electrical, hybrid and combustion drive. You will be the Category Team Leader of a dynamic team of buyers located in Sweden, China and US supporting each other to reach our global business objectives.
What you will do?
In this broad and interesting role, you are responsible to lead and implement supplier and category strategies and also to drive as well as to coach the category team members through global council and stimulate the business performance and knowledge within the team. You will be leading the commercial negotiations and build strategic relationships with international suppliers in order to maximize the value for VCC.
We need you, who enjoy taking ownership, being a change maker as well as a strong collaborator combined with a courage to challenge.
Do you fit the profile?
We expect that you have been working within Purchasing or sales and negotiation is one of your strongest area.
You are a natural leader and have the ability to see the whole picture of a business case with excellent analytical skills. Supplier relationship is important where your communication skills are of great importance.
You have a University bachelor degree or equivalent experiences, Technical or Economical. You are also fluent in English, both in written and spoken.
