hela Sverige Uggla Engineering is seeking a senior Bi-lingual (Mandarin Chinese and English) Process Improvement Engineers that will be responsible for working with Northvolt and one of its Chinese supplier's managers in a cross functional task force environment to systematically improve the production output of the DS2 Cell Assembly. A partial responsibility is to bridge the potential language gaps by translating and culture gap by influencing in these improvement task force teams. This improvement learnings will be followed in future phases. This role will allow you to take your understanding of the current equipment, production and quality processes and utilize it to pave the way for future upgrades and designs, contributing to the launch of cutting-edge cell manufacturing equipment.

The improvement activities will be carried out as multiple short "sprint" type projects with the teams made up of a PAC bi-lingual Improvement engineers, the relevant a cross-function group of client resources and a relevant group of client's Chinese supplier at the manager level.
As a senior bilingual Process Improvement Engineer, you will co-lead the complete project scope and have functional responsibility for equipment requirements management, design, development, and ensuring safety and certification approvals are met with the right quality.
You will have significant experience in the field and have previously been driving large, innovative, and challenging projects with high demands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with a NV cell manufacturing and its Chinese supplier manager to drive manufacturing engineering projects from solution identification, implementation, updating of documentation and data analysis to confirm the expected improvement has been achieved as well as ensuring safety product requirements are met .
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Production - responsible for normal operations and safety of equipment, onsite staff skills training and guidance, etc Responsible for leading the task force activities.
Equipment - Responsible for the diagnosis, output and analysis of equipment efficiency, reduced failure rate, optimize equipment performance etc
Process - Responsible for the diagnosis, output and analysis of process excellence problems, and the improvement of countermeasures, so as to achieve the improvement and compliance of the excellence rate.
Quality - Responsible for problem diagnosis and analysis of product quality control, improvement of countermeasures, and development and implementation of various activities of quality management.
Delivering the project scope through cross functional development and tracking of the cross functional project timelines.
Regular reporting of platform, project, and production line performance during ramp up phase.
Interact closely with different engineering teams, business development, quality, industrialization to reach project goals.
Report to internal steering committees for the projects, product boards, change control boards, technical discussions.
Co-Lead the development of Layered Downtime lists for each of the different machine groups that can be used to improve route cause analysis.
Alongside the Continuous Improvement Engineers, undertake route cause analysis on specific elements of the cell assembly line to identify improvement opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Specific Skills/Abilities and Experience
Bilingual verbal Mandarín Chínese plus good verbal written English
Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment and manufacturing engineering context.
Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.
Practical work experience within equipment and process development and engineering related fields, especially focused on route cause analysis and solution development.
Experienced in product development processes including product road maps, requirements traceability management (verification / validation), safety certifications.
Experience of working as a technical project manager within automotive/industrial product development or from the energy sector
Ability to guide the team in time management, and the attitude to foster a productive and passionate culture.
Successful track record of leading process improvement and scaling projects in a fast-growing environment ideally in the Battery, Automotive, Food, Pharma, Paper Pulp, Semiconductor, Electrochemical or similar industry.
EDUCATION: BSc or MSc degree in technical area such as mechanical, electrical, chemical or automation engineering or similar. Alternatively, you have acquired corresponding competence with hands on experience.
PMP certification or MBA a plus
Valid Driver's License.
LOCATION: On client site in northern Sweden
