As Automation Engineer at Vehicle and Systems Testing within the group Methodology, you are responsible for leading the work with automation of tests in our system test beds. The challenges is to develop and implement automated test processes. Further, you will work in cross-functional teams with other groups within the R&D and the Laboratory. Your technical competence, as well as your ability to manage projects and teams, should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and technical conclusions. You should have an analytical and solution mindset.
Main responsibilities
* Responsible for implementing automated test processes in system test beds
* Plan and manage automation activities through a cross functional team
* Develop automation processes and activities within the system testing area
* Document automated test processes and involve necessary stakeholders to gather required inputs
* Participate in development of testing methods
* Conduct problem solving investigation when required
* Prepare and verify test automation routines within Vehicle and System Testing Laboratory
* Support own organisation and its most important parameters for automation regarding programing, test bed equipment, measuring instruments, test processes and measurement data delivery
Required qualifications
* MSc Engineer within the areas of Mechanical-, Electrical engineering or equivalent
* Experience in engine testing or engine development
* Very good knowledge in VBA scripting
* Very good knowledge in Tcl scripting
* General knowledge in programing languages such as C+, Python, Matlab, etc
* Very good practical and theoretical knowledge within engine testing, measurement systems, simulation of vehicle components and control of test beds
* Good experience from setting up test sequences and analysis of test results
* Knowledge in engine calibration methods
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Knowledge in PAtools, PUMA, Comtest, VETS test bed systems is meritoriuos

* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Self driven and high sense of responsibility to deliver results on time
