GVA is growing rapidly and as a result we are now seeking a highly technical and leadership focused Group Manager, Drilling & Utility Team.
The dual purpose of this role is to manage and develop the Drilling & Utility Team and enhance its performance such as working efficiently and productively; as well as provide technical expertise and guidance to the team members to ensure GVA is well positioned to meet the business goals and strategies.
The IDEAL CANDIDATE should not only have a strong desire to work for GVA and within the offshore industry but also possess the following skills and competencies:
• Minimum B.Sc in Naval Architecture, Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
• Approximately 7+ years of relevant technical experience within the offshore industry.
• Strong knowledge and expertise of the Drilling & Utility field of technology within the offshore industry.
• Proven track record of effectively leading, managing, engaging and influencing multicultural teams at a senior level, preferably in an international environment.
• High level projects-and team activities full cycle supervisory ex perience including a well developed understanding of project/team dynamics, challenges and opportunities.
• Sound commercial acumen with the ability to understand the correlation between the team?s responsibilities towards the overall business goals and plans.
• Solid understanding of complex contracts and the principles of approval by Classification Authorities.
• Experience from working on-site is an advantage.
• Fluent and effective oral and written communication skills in English are required. Swedish and additional language skills are an advantage ( Ex Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese).
• Desire to Live the GVA and KBR company values and set a good example for the Drilling & Utility Team.
• Adhere to the GVA Management System without exception (policies, procedures and work instructions).
• Communicate effectively with all levels and disciplines and uses clear and concise language to prevent information is misinterpreted.
• Build and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through advance interpersonal and networking skills.
• Lead by example and promotes collective achievement, teamwork and diversity and understand how own behavior impact on others.
